May I apply for and play in USGA Amateur Championships as an applicant for reinstatement?

To submit an entry for a USGA Amateur Championships, the USGA requires you are reinstated as an amateur golfer prior to the close of entries for that respective championship.

If you will be eligible for reinstatement prior to the close of entries for a USGA Amateur Championship, please contact Championship Administration ([email protected]) to request that your player status be temporarily updated to amateur, so that you may submit an entry pending your amateur reinstatement and reserve a spot in a qualifier.

If you will not be eligible for reinstatement prior to the close of entries for a USGA amateur championship, then you are not eligible to enter. For other competitions not conducted by the USGA, you should contact the Committee in charge to confirm its policy.

If/once you have been reinstated as an amateur you should contact Championship Administration ([email protected]) to request that your USGA Championships Player Profile is updated to amateur so you may enter USGA Amateur Championships.
