Content Capture Policy

On-Site Content Capture – We love to see our players share their USGA championship experience on social media and other digital platforms. However, our goal is to ensure there is no disruption to competitive play or anyone’s personal space.

All player guests must abide by our spectator policy as it relates to general content capture. If you plan to have someone onsite with a camera or video equipment, please visit mediacenter.usga.org to learn more about our media credential process and to submit an application. If approved, further expectations for your content team can be reviewed within the USGA’s credential guidelines

During competition rounds, only those with approved media credentials will be allowed to bring camera or video equipment onto the property. Credentialed individuals should respect the playing group by acting in a professional manner and must comply with all on-course requests made by USGA staff or others designated by the USGA to enforce media regulations. Practice rounds are subject to media credential guidelines and/or instructions from the onsite media official.

Under no circumstance should caddies film or photograph players while on the course during a competition round.

The USGA will have a staff photographer for the duration of the championship. While we can’t guarantee they capture every player in the field, we encourage you to contact [email protected] to receive any photos of yourself.
